Boux Avenue Opening in Guildford

Ok everyone - this is absolutely the first blog I have ever written! (I have only ever written 2 guest blogs!) Since hearing that Boux Avenue was opening in Guildford I've been very excited. Admittedly not so much because of the shop but knowing that Theo Paphitis would be coming to open his own shop.  I have always been a fan of Dragons Den and especially Theo but since becoming an SBS winner even more so!! SBS is a club that Theo has created through Twitter - Small Business Sunday - He encourages you to Tweet your business to him on a Sunday between 5 and 7.30 pm - he then chooses his favourite 6 and Retweets them. @koolsunkidz got a Retweet from @TheoPaphitis on Sunday 17th April 2011.

I was very new to Twitter at the time and so was thrilled with the response to the Retweet. It was the perfect time of year to gain new followers and I can't tell you the fantastic support, knowledge and networking that has come from being part of the #SBS club.  A few of us were tweeting the night before the opening of Boux Avenue and tentatively arranged to meet up although bizarrely I had already arranged to meet Katie from @littlebigsports on that day.  We then found Louise from @babysigningmum and Trudy from @bricksandbread.  After Theo officially opened the shop we all went to meet him and I think he was genuinely delighted to see us all there - supporting him in the way that he has supported all of us.  He was very chatty and happy to have his photo taken with all of us.

 I popped back into the shop after the crowd had disappeared - couldn't resist.  It is beautifully fitted with some gorgeous products - spent a small fortune!! All in all a great day - not only am I a bigger fan of Theo but also now of Boux Avenue too :)
